2006-05-04: Day off work for another Riverside run

Texie needed to pick up her AK receiver from Bright Spot Pawn, and being a good boyfriend, I rode along to keep her company. Of course, the insidious secondary reason was to prod them about my PTR-91 order and see about filling out DROS on my next batch of receivers. Chris, the resident gun guy over at BSP, did a very good job of tempting me with a $1700 Bobcat Weapons BW-5, which is a civilian semi-auto version of the legendary H&K MP5. While the MP5 is a gun I've wanted since I was a kid, I just couldn't justify spending that much on one. Perhaps later, when his next order comes in for $1500... one advantage of the BW-5 is that the 9mm ammunition it fires is quite a bit cheaper than standard rifle ammo.

At any rate, while I was there I discovered that BSP has started stocking the Prince50 mag conversion kit. While the only reason I didn't leave there with one was due to my forgetting, I do have one spare Sporting Conversion mag kit lying in a drawer unused, so it's probably for the best presently.
