So, after plenty of drama with the escrow company and such, the house is now ours. Kind of weird that on Mom's birthday, we got the present.

Drama from the last few days...

Showing up and being informed we had to pay a one-time per diem fee even though the per diems were being paid for.
Getting to sign a number of extra addendums.
Managing to get the bank to fire Restoration Specialists from the job for general incompetence and lack of workmanship. Instead of paying them to screw up the roof repair like so many other things they've screwed up, the bank reduced the purchase price by $10k and we're going to pay for the repairs ourselves with a contractor that answers to us, not the bank.
